I love this camp a lot. I've been going to it for 4 years and it’s always the highlight of my summer. I love meeting new people and making new friends throughout the week while doing what I love which is photography. Andrea is a great teacher and is able to show me new things about my camera and how I can take better pictures, which is a great learning experience. The excursions we go on are amazing and a great way to learn about all the beautiful places in Ottawa to photograph.

It was a well structured camp and learnt a lot under great instruction. We leant various skills each day and took pictures of interesting subjects. I learned way more than I expected and this camp is much better than other camps.

I am an avid photographer of many years (with a lot of professional equipment). We were happy to be introduced to Andrea last summer when my son attended her photography camp. What Andrea taught my son in a few days in photography would have probably taken me some years. On the third day, he started to use the camera in manual mode. Over the course of the week he developed critical skills in applying depth-of-field, shutter-speed, composition, and other creative tricks of the trade. Before he met Andrea he only used the camera in fully-automatic mode. The one-week camp was an extremely creative experience, and most importantly, he enjoyed every minute of it. At the end of the week, he brought home a framed picture of one of his prized photos, which was like the icing on the cake. All in all, it was a joy to have Andrea coach my son.

To say the advanced summer camp was fun would be an understatement. I loved every minute of the time I spent at the camp, both Andrea and my camp-mates were a pleasure to be around. I really enjoy spending the week that we have, discussing, and practicing different ways of taking photos that make us step out of our comfort zones. Dear Andrea,
I want to start off by saying thank you for everything... you've helped me with all my photography problems and taught me how to use my camera properly. My parents and I are very proud of what I learned and what I can now do with our camera. I have been taking lots of pictures still and they look amazing, thanks to you! I would definitely take your camp again; it was so much fun to be able to meet you, your daughters and the rest of the girls who were taking the camp. I was happy to meet people that enjoy photography as much as I do.
I loved everything about the camp, your dog, all your cats and the chipmunks. I enjoyed the activities we did and most importantly taking pictures! Looking at the pictures that I took before the camp and after I see there are some BIG changes. Hopefully, I will continue taking pictures and be as good as you one day. Before I took this camp I had no idea where the settings were on my camera and how to use them! Thanks to you I now know how... You are an amazing photography teacher, I was so happy to be able to take your camp. I couldn't have found anyone who was as kind, caring, understanding and fun to be with. I'm sure the girls and boys you teach in the future will love the camp as much as I did! I will suggest that all my friends who like photography should take your camp; I will never forget my time at your camp.

Dear Andrea:
Thank you for teaching us so much more about our cameras. I remember having to shoot manually the whole time and I didn’t have some of the other settings on my camera, and my photos turned out amazing and better than ever. I learned so much by taking this class and that it’s not just the push of a button; that you have to go through the settings and change them for differing lighting of the room, etc. Ever since I took your camp, I feel more motivated to go out and take photos, now that I know my camera better.

The Summer Teen Photography Camp was one of most useful and informative sessions I have ever been to. Andrea has provided me with everything I needed to know about the basics of photography in a fun and understandable way. The quality of my photographs increased drastically after the camp, along with my overall understanding and enthusiasm towards photography.
